Expect an extremely fun evening of dancing and singing when Marc Otway and Abi Uttley come aboard The Gauguin!

Marc and Abi were performing as solo artists from very different backgrounds when they met at an event in Leeds, U.K., in 2011. A multi-instrumentalist and award-winning songwriter, Marc had studied at The Leeds College of Music, where he honed guitar skills that have been compared to the likes of Mark Knoffler. A qualified Zumba® Fitness Instructor, Abi pursued her lifelong love of performing arts at The University of Salford, where she earned a degree in the field. Soon after graduating, she toured the U.K. with the Badapple Theatre Company in the sell-out musical comedy Back to The Land Girls, and she also had cameos in the British soap operas Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and Doctors.

The pair quickly joined forces after that initial meeting and began perfecting a repertoire of their favorite songs, combining strong vocal harmonies with mesmerizing guitar riffs that have been delighting audiences ever since. Styles include reggae, ska, Motown, soul, and rock from legends such as Jason Mraz, the Eagles, Bob Marley, and Amy Winehouse, to name a few. They have performed extensively throughout the U.K., at weddings, festivals, and concerts and in venues such as The Legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool and The Terrace at The Houses of Parliament.

Don’t miss very special sailings of The Gauguin, as this talented duo performs an exciting musical explosion of upbeat classics through the decades. With such an eclectic mix of musical styles, they truly have something for everyone!
